A few words about Torkal's wars
This book began with a question. How would have the roman Legions fared against all creatures of a fantasy world? It soon became an adventure, an exploration of Ancient Times where fantasy meets real story.
A besieged neighbor
General Torkal has just promoted Marcus Scout Master of the First Legion of Antiago. Fame, glory, and who knows? A parade in the Capitolium under the eyes of the Triumvirs?
But when Giants threatens the ratkingdom just north of Antiago, Torkal decides to intervene and marches with the Legion to the rescue. Marcus is at the forefront of the army, scouting, meeting new allies and enemies.
A call for help
Continue your journey with Marcus, Scout Master of the First Legion, as he leads his troops deeper in the lands of Marlian. Though General Torkal has secured the northern borders of Antiago, allies of the kingdom are in need of aid, prompting the legionnaires to ride to their aid.
As they answer the call for help, Marcus finds himself sent for different missions. Diplomatic encounters, reconnaissance, or battles. Set in an alternate universe during the time of Caesar, witness the might of the Roman Legions as they clash against fantasy adversaries.
With each skirmish and victory, Marcus learns more about the enemy they face. Will he be able to survive in this strange land and emerge victorious against all odds?
The palace of Krilos
Torkal’s wars is set in a parallel universe to the roman / greek history where you can find all fantasy races.
